SQL – How to find where a table column is used

If you ever get in the situation that you need to find out from which stored procedure/ function is a table column updated, this is a useful script:

SELECT DISTINCT OBJECT_NAME(id)
FROM syscomments
WHERE TEXT LIKE ‘%lookup_field%’
ORDER BY OBJECT_NAME(id)
